Call for Abstracts

Submit your abstract

  • The official language of the conference is English. Authors should strictly follow the Abstract Guidelines. Please adhere to the Abstract Template, when preparing your Abstract file.
  • Before the abstract submission, the presenting author should proceed with the Online Registration in SAN 2022.
  • Papers should be submitted electronically using the SAN 2022 Easychair submission system. SAN 2022 Submission system requires that an account in the system has to be created by a prospective author first. In order to create a new account, select the “I have no account” option and follow the instructions given.
  • In the SAN 2022 Personal Area you will be able to submit your abstract(s) and replace the submitted abstract(s) at any time until the deadline for abstract submission.
  • Abstracts must be submitted electronically; abstracts submitted by fax or email will not be accepted.
  • Abstracts prepared according to the template should be formatted to include the following:
    • Title – 100 characters. Please refrain from using all caps.
      Authors and Affiliations
    • The preferred organization is in the form: Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions – 400 Words, ~2700 Total Character Limit (includes spaces). Use of titles is not mandatory
    • Keywords – maximum of 5
    • Acknowledgments (optional) – A short statement for funding acknowledgment
    • References – maximum of 10
  • The file should be converted to PDF format and named as Author.x.[pdf], where Author is the corresponding author’s name. The number (x) corresponds to the number of submitted abstracts by the same first author.
  • When submitting your abstract, choose the most relevant topic. However, the Committee reserves the right to decide on a final topic assignment upon abstract selection.
  • For each abstract, you should indicate the other authors and the preferred type of presentation (Oral or Poster).
  • All abstracts will be peer-reviewed.
  • Abstract acceptance will be strictly based on scientific content.
  • Abstracts that are unethical, incomplete, or contain insufficient data will not be accepted.
  • The closing date for submissions is Sunday 10th of July 2022.

Call for Workshop Proposals

There will be limited availability for half-day workshops. Abstract submissions for these workshops should include an overview/synopsis as well as the proposed programme (material to be covered and details of proposed speakers), not to exceed 500 words in total.

Workshop submissions will be peer-reviewed, as well as undergoing programmatic consideration.

The closing date for submissions is Thursday 30th of June 2022.

Call for Symposium Proposals

These are typically thematically-bundled assemblies of up to 4 presentations, with 90-120 minutes of allocated time. Symposiums should be proposed by a symposia organizer, and a single submission should contain a symposium synopsis, including list of speakers, as well as a brief summary of each speakers’ presentation. The entire submission should not exceed 500 words.

Symposium submissions will be peer-reviewed as well as undergoing programmatic consideration. A limited number of slots will be available.

Please note: if a symposium submission is not accepted, the component speaker talks are NOT automatically considered as abstract submissions. Individual investigators are encouraged to submit separate abstracts for this category.

The closing date for submissions is Thursday 30th of June 2022.
